Registration/Pre-registration Details
- 5K pre-registration is $25 (includes a T-shirt, food, and prizes). ($10 entry fee, $15 charitable donation) Event day registration is $30.00.
- You may register for the 5K as a competitive or recreational runner. A competitive runner issued a chip, gets an official time, and is eligible for an award. A recreational runner does not get a chip, an official time or an award, however there is a digital clock at the finish line to check one’s time. This will facilitate obtaining 5K results quicker for the 5K Award Presentations..
- 5K registration and packet pick-up, to receive numbers and t-shirt, will be at The Athlete's Foot – Cameron Village, 2035 Cameron Street, in Raleigh, on Wednesday, April 21st, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., and at ActivEdge Fitness and Sports Performance 4221 Garrett Road, Suite 2, the Gold Center Shopping Center, in Durham on Friday, April 23rd, from 4:00- 8:00pm. If you are part of a team, please indicate your team name when registering.
- You may choose to do both the 5K and the Family Fun Walk for one registration fee. Once you register for the 5K, do not re-register for the walk... join the other participants and enjoy the stroll through the Duke gardens.
- An email will be sent to you a few days before the event with details of the packet pick-up location, parking information, as well as general event details.
- Although we strongly encourage you to register online, you may also print this registration sheet and send it with checks, payable to: Duke University–10BT. Please remember to indicate your team affiliation on the memo line. Registrations must be mailed by April 11th.

- The 5K is handled by the Carolina Godiva Track Club; who promote broad community participation in running events such as this. They have been loyal supporters of this event since 1994.
- Chip timing by Jim Young & Associates. Runners who lose chips or do not turn them in will be charged $25.
Directions from I-40: Exit at Highway 15-501 (exit 270). Travel north on 15-501 for 1.3 miles. Turn right on Garrett Road. ActivEdge is on the left (0.1 mile).
Directions from I-85: Exit at Highway 15-501 heading south. Travel south on 15-501. Turn left on Garrett Road. ActivEdge is on the left (0.1 mile).
We had 1,100 runners at the 2009 5K, and we’re looking forward to having even more dedicated runners this year... dedicated to the run and most importantly, to the cause—the fight against cancer. We encourage you to raise money for the event and its cause. Checks are payable to Duke University–10BT.
